The OZ9 (Original ZEV 9) centerfire pistol was designed by ZEV Technologies as a platform based on experience gained from the Glock system, with significant design modifications. The grip angle is similar to that of the 1911 family of pistols, which improves ergonomics and handling.

Match-grade barrels are characterized by high manufacturing precision. The modified slide and trigger system reduce muzzle rise and recoil, while also shortening trigger travel and reset. The slide is optic-ready for mounting a red dot sight. The firearm is compatible with Glock-type magazines.
